As part of a review of pronouns and their types for 6LP and 6CP, and adjectives for 5LP, the groups played “Scoot”.
For 6LP and 6CP the teacher placed 20-24 cards on each desk. Each play card has either sentences in which the students have to identify the pronoun and classify it, or write sentences with any type of pronoun discussed in class.
As for 5LP, the teacher placed the same amount of cards on each desk. Each play card has sentences in which the students have to identify the adjective and tell what noun it describes, or write sentences using adjectives.
The rule of the game is to answer as quickly as possible before the teacher shouts out, “SCOOT!”. After shouting out the magic word, the student has to switch to the desk behind him or her and answer the next question or statement.
